The candidate will work with staff writers and freelancers to produce weekly features and monthly special reports Mansion Global produces, which go beyond real estate coverage to that involving interior design, art in the home and smart home technology.
In addition, the candidate will edit and write daily features and help the Executive Editor, who runs the newsroom, to spot newsworthy stories and assign them. In addition, the Managing Editor will also work with other Dow Jones Media Group and News Corp publications to establish relationships and syndicate content back and forth.
The Managing Editor will also be spearheading any custom content projects, from the assignment of the story packages to the editing of them.
This job requires a versatile journalist who is adept at spotting stories that would reverberate with our wide-ranging audience, from those seeking to make property investments to those who are simply seeking inspiration. The ideal candidate also will have solid reporting, writing and editing skills; is comfortable working in a quick-pace digital newsroom and is a team player.
A deep understanding of the global real estate arena is ideal. The job is based in New York.
