Los Angeles Biz Journal seeks media reporter

The Los Angeles Business Journal is seeking an enterprising and energetic media reporter to cover L.A.’s media and entertainment industry for its print and digital properties.

DUTIES:

• Develop a deep business-side knowledge of the people, companies and trends around movies, television, streaming, music, live events and agencies
• Build and maintain a network of sources and relationships with key players across the media and entertainment industry
• Provide breaking news coverage and impactful feature stories for the Journal’s print and digital platforms

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two years’ experience covering business at a print or digital outlet
• Ability to deliver quality content and meet tight deadlines
• Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles
• Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus, but not a must
• Demonstrated ability to connect on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
