The Los Angeles Business Journal is seeking an enterprising and energetic media reporter to cover L.A.’s media and entertainment industry for its print and digital properties.
DUTIES:
- Develop a deep business-side knowledge of the people, companies and trends around movies, television, streaming, music, live events and agencies
- Build and maintain a network of sources and relationships with key players across the media and entertainment industry
- Provide breaking news coverage and impactful feature stories for the Journal’s print and digital platforms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years’ experience covering business at a print or digital outlet
- Ability to deliver quality content and meet tight deadlines
- Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles
- Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus, but not a must
- Demonstrated ability to connect on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
