LifeSavvy Media is looking for experienced and objective tech reviewers to write about products on How-To Geek and Review Geek.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Whether you’re looking for tips on organization, travel, parenting, fitness, relationships, school, or your career, our team of expert writers on LifeSavvy is here to help.
In its first decade, How-To Geek became a trusted brand for helping people understand technology, and branched out from PC coverage to smartphones, smart homes, and more.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for those who don’t just use technology, but are immersed in it. If you live and breathe technology every day and are constantly researching for the best keyboard you can buy, the perfect webcam for your friends, family, or that teacher you know, why mechanical keyboards are better than the alternative (or why they aren’t), then you might be a good fit for us.
We’re looking for writers who can fairly evaluate a product using their expert knowledge and explain its pros and cons to readers who might not be as technical. LifeSavvy Media’s Reviews Director and Reviews Editor will provide you with products to review, but it’s up to you to become an expert (if you aren’t already) and provide the best advice our readers need.
This is a freelance position, but we’re looking for regular contributions. It’s up to you when you write and how you work, but at least some overlap with the editorial team is pretty crucial. We love talking about ideas as they come through to make sure we nail the angle. This leads to less time editing later and ensures that everyone is happy with the final product.
Pay is based on the type of product being reviewed and the estimated length of the review. All rates will be assigned and agreed to during the pitch process. Additionally, the below word counts are estimates. There are no hard minimum or maximum word counts. Each review’s length will depend on the product.
The job is remote, but we’re looking for someone in the United States. The team (and editorial staff) are scattered across time zones, so finding a bit of overlap shouldn’t be an issue.
