Idaho Biz Review seeks an editor

The Idaho Business Review is seeking a digitally savvy Editor to lead our award-winning news team and continue our long tradition of excellence. Candidate needs to live in the Boise/Treasure Valley area in order to engage with the business community on a local level.

What skills does the job require?

  • Strong journalism skills, particularly news judgment, copyediting, and accuracy on deadline
  • Presentation skills
  • An instinct for how to engage readers
  • Proficiency with WordPress and InCopy

What will you be Responsible for?

  • All our content in print, online, and in our special publications
  • Supervise the newsroom
  • Work closely with our production hub to ensure the highest quality products for our readers

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
