Business Insider is looking for an associate finance editor to help shape the company’s coverage and manage a growing group of reporters. The reporter will be expected to cover and have knowledge about private equity, payments, fintech, real estate, wealth management, hedge funds, and more.
Candidates are expected to have strong news judgement and be able to pick out the most interesting angles on stories. Other duties would include editing, fielding pitches and occasionally writing a range of stories, translating complex financial topics for a broader audience and growing the audience at Wall Street subscribers by finding creative ways to promote the company’s stories.
Applicants are expected to have at least 3 years of experience covering banks, hedge funds, asset managers and financial technology. Any experience editing or managing writers is a plus.
This is a full-time position based in New York.
