Publishing five days a week since May 2015, GrowthSpotter is a premium digital subscription service for a niche audience of real estate professionals, including developers, contractors, architects, civil engineers, brokers, bankers and attorneys. This is a salaried managerial position, which involves supervising and editing a small team of reporters and freelancers, while also covering a beat to produce two or more stories per day.
The person in this position maintains GrowthSpotter’s high standard for daily news coverage; edits to ensure there are no errors in spelling, punctuation or AP style; manages social media and a daily newsletter; and serves as the brand’s lead ambassador by attending relevant public events.
Job Qualifications: Degree from a four-year college or university, and five years or more of related journalism experience required. Experience covering real estate development and local government planning and zoning process is desired.
