Northwest Labor Press seeks a reporter

December 8, 2022

Posted by Chris Roush

The Northwest Labor Press is looking for a skilled and hard-working writer to report on the labor movement and issues that matter to working people.

No specialized knowledge about unions is required, but for the job to be a good fit, applicants should have an affinity for the goals of the labor movement—economic justice, safety, security, and dignity for all working people. We’re an independent union-supported regional newspaper, mailed twice a month to about 45,000 union households in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

This is a union-represented position with competitive wages (salary starts at $50,000) and unmatched benefits.

Working from home is an option, but you’d still need to live in the Portland metro area. For out-of-area applicants who’d be a great fit, we can be flexible about the relocation timeline.

Visit https://nwlaborpress.org/apply for more details.

There’s no fixed start date, and the position will be considered open until filled, so apply soon if you’re interested!
