Among the initiatives that will be part of the assistant US managing editor’s portfolio will be partnerships with social media groups like LinkedIn, and groups like the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists, coordinating on joint projects with Nikkei, and helping steer cross-FT efforts to better engage with students and academia.

Who we are looking for

You will have a passion for editorial management, helping to guide and support other journalists in their efforts to make the FT’s news operations in the US as competitive as possible. Project management skills would be hugely beneficial, with multiple initiatives underway as part of the FT’s US growth plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of the challenges involved in a fast-paced daily news organization.
