Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Help improve and sustain CNBC’s coverage of the technology industry. This is a versatile player-coach type of role, requiring writing on some newsworthy tech areas as well as edit on busy news days.
  • Report and write news, analysis, and features focused on cybersecurity, business software, artificial intelligence, programming, and other tech fields. Beat could include companies such as Atlassian, CrowdStrike, Cisco, Databricks, Datadog, IBM, OpenAI, Oracle, Palantir, Palo Alto Networks, Snowflake, and Workday, and will evolve over time.
  • Develop and tailor cybersecurity coverage for the CNBC audience, focusing on material real-world effects and human-driven features rather than “hack of the week.”
  • Help edit news stories on a wide variety of technology business subjects, particularly in the mornings.
  • Help coordinate news coverage across a wide variety of teams within CNBC Digital and across the organization, including TV and digital video.
