Health is looking for evergreen writers to join their team. As a writer for Health.com, you should be able to navigate complicated topics and present them in a way that is understandable for a lay audience while providing actionable next steps for all levels.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Health.com is a disease, condition, and treatment-specific site. Most of our users find us after Googling a health condition. Therefore, we are very SEO-driven and have quite a few templates to help writers structure their articles.

Owned by Dotdash Meredith, Health.com has a traditional freelance model that pays writers to create content on their own schedule without limiting their ability to work on other projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • With that in mind, we’re looking specifically for writers who fit one or more of the below:
  • Have a health or medical background, proven by credentials (e.g. PharmD, LPN, RN, MPH)
  • Are medical journalists with proven experience writing for a consumer audience
  • Have experience and/or are comfortable covering public health issues You must be authorized to work in the US.
  • We require research and primary sources, like journals, but interviews are not required.

We are actively recruiting PharmD writers to cover pharmaceutical drugs.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • 250-$300- based on word count and topic
