Fortune is looking for reporters to join its business news desk to help the brand grow its audience as the definitive place to read about Fortune 500 companies.

This is a role for entry-level reporters with a desire to work in a team setting on a new venture at one of the most respected brands in business journalism. Reporters with a passion for writing quickly, accurately, and who live on social platforms are ideal for this role.

You will:

Work closely with the editors on the desk to pitch and write stories that bring Fortune’s breadth of knowledge to a wider audience.

Write quickly and accurately on consumer business topics with the mobile Web in mind.

Write the stories that people are talking about and searching for.

You have:

A background in journalism, either at the undergraduate or graduate level.

At least 1 year of experience in a real-time/digital news organization or an internship demonstrating that ability.

A passion for digital storytelling, and a dedication to the highest standards of journalism.

A desire to be part of an exciting new venture: Think of it as a start-up at one of journalism’s most respected business publications.

Job Location: New York – New York (also West Coast)

To apply, send resume, clips and a cover letter to aaron.task@fortune.com and daniel.bentley@fortune.com and have them say somewhere referred from Talking Biz News.
