Fortune seeks a writer covering business education

Fortune seeks an ambitious, energetic journalist with a passion for covering business school education.

The job will principally focus on reporting and writing frequently for Fortune.com.

This journalist will closely monitor B-schools. You’ll help MBA seekers as they weigh different programs, and keep them attuned to the changing world of business education.

You are:

  • Experienced. You will have at least two years’ as an experienced reporter covering business or business schools.
  • Engaged. Your work ethic is formidable. Your competitive streak is healthy. Your collegiality is admirable.
  • Digital. You understand how digital information is distributed today and are willing to tell stories in different ways for different mediums.
  • Excited. Fortune aims to be a vibrant destination for business school coverage. You’re ready to embody and evangelize that mission with aggressive reporting.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
