FInLedger is hiring an assignment reporter

FinLedger is a new media brand launched in August 2020 by HW Media, the parent organization of HousingWire.

FinLedger is hiring an Assignments Reporter to cover the b2b fintech market, with a specific focus on:

  • Breaking news related to banktech, insurtech, proptech and payments
  • Trends coverage related to big data, cybersecurity, regtech, blockchain and other topics trending in the current news cycle
  • Monitoring the activities and technology decisions of leading incumbent and challenger banks and insurance companies to uncover news and trends
  • Support the Managing Editor in covering other important stories across FinLedger’s coverage beat
  • Assist in newsletter aggregation and production

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
