E&E News is looking for a sharp-eyed copy editor to work evenings as part of our fast-paced newsroom. The ideal candidate will have professional experience copy editing and web producing for a news organization. You’ll work with copy editors; the art desk; reporters located across the U.S.; and the editors of E&E News PM, E&E Daily, Climatewire and Energywire. You will have a strong command of grammar and AP style and an interest for the policy and politics that surrounds energy and environmental issues. Working from a remote location is OK.
What You’ll Need:
- 2+ years of copy-editing experience.
- B.A/B.S or equivalent.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a big plus.
- Familiarity in our issues and publications is also a plus.
- Collegial spirit and joy in working an old-fashioned, afternoon-to-evening newspaper shift Sunday through Thursday.
