Dow Jones seeks reporter in Madrid

Dow Jones is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic reporter with excellent sources to cover corporate news for the real-time Spanish-language service, based in Madrid.

The successful candidate will have a degree in journalism, finance or economics, and proven knowledge of corporate and stock market reporting.

The job also requires someone who can translate quickly from English to Spanish as well as edit reports for the Spanish service. The successful candidate must have a proven professional background and bilingual skills. Teamwork is highly valued.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
