Dow Jones seeks associate, strategic initiatives, Live Journalism

The Live Journalism team’s biggest driver for success in the current environment is nailing the networking, sales activation, and community building within the virtual and hybrid space. This team will focus on defining ways to stand out in the virtual space for the company’s flagship events by closely following and identifying what experiential partners are offering, what are competitors doing, and of all of those things, what is valuable to the brand.

DUTIES:

  • Reporting to the associate director, strategic initiatives, this position will contribute to the growth of the Live Journalism business by supporting the execution of strategic projects intended to identify new opportunities to stand out in the virtual and hybrid events space
  • Scope out new potential partners in creative agencies to ideate out of the box experiences
  • Define specific emerging competitive challenges that cut across Dow Jones’ events
  • Review and research the newest platforms, technologies and competitors in the market
  • Prepare company profiles, analytic research summaries, activity reports, and other relevant materials to support strategic initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in events, marketing, communications or business development is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organization skills, able to work under pressure and to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment
