CNNMoney is seeking a reporter to cover breaking news.
He or she must work closely with the site’s editors to report and write business news articles in the following areas: Markets, technology, small business, personal finance and economy.
The successful candidate will have 2 – 3 years reporting experience with a business publication, wire service, major newspaper or online news site, and be comfortable delving into financial reports such as SEC filings, balance sheets and government data. Excellent research, interviewing and writing skills and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, breaking news environment.
Some knowledge of financial markets and a keen interest in investing and business news. At least one year of experience in an editorial position at a personal finance or business publication. Good communications skills, excellent command of English. Must be a good team player. Enthusiasm for journalistic work. At least a BA/BS degree in Journalism or English.
The reporter will also be responsible for source-development, developing enterprise story ideas, and will be expected to develop a subject expertise in areas of business news. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to respond to breaking news.
