CNN International is currently seeking high caliber candidates for a Business Reporter position to join the team at our Asia news production center in Hong Kong. CNN is looking for a tenacious dedicated candidate who will be able to proactively identify all the major financial news stories and trends, driving the business coverage out of the Asia-Pacific region and flagging the major business news headlines.
The Business Reporter must have a strong editorial understanding of business and financial news. They need to be able to generate and shape story ideas with strong story-telling ability. He/she must be proficient in writing and structuring packages for air and will be responsible for reporting on all business news on air for both our news and business programs.
They will also be required to front any breaking news coverage under deadline while ensuring that all information delivered is clear, concise and accurate. This role entails the need to contribute to a range of platforms, including digital and writing/contributing to our CNNMoney website.
What do we require from you?
A minimum of 5 years in broadcast journalism with previous financial or business journalism experience is expected, with knowledge of the economy, financial markets, tech and business trends. Candidate must be flexible and able to work long hours under deadline pressures and must have strong communication skills working in collaboration with CNNMoney digital and newsgathering counterparts.
