CNBC seeks an associate reporter to cover tech

CNBC is seeking an Associate Reporter to cover breaking news, and pitch and write analysis pieces and features, about people and companies in the technology industry.

This is an early-career position in our Englewood Cliffs, NJ, office, with some option for remote work. The position is full-time five days a week, including weekends.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver timely, accurate news coverage of the technology industry on quick turnaround.
  • Collaborate across the newsroom to deliver timely coverage of TV newsmakers in the tech industry.
  • Find and fill gaps in tech team coverage, which could include online dating and travel, consumer technology, mis/disinformation, emerging technology, and other areas of interest.
  • Develop sources and pitch original stories.
  • Assist with general business news coverage on the weekends.
