Cheddar seeks a social media producer

Cheddar is growing its production team and video offerings. Specifically, we’re looking for a social media-minded producer to write scripts for and edit short-form videos that will be distributed daily on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms. Cheddar wants candidates that are well-versed in technology, business, and media news.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage production of these social videos
  • Work with our video editors and graphic artists to  identify stories and assist in the process from pitch to video completion and publishing
  • Write video/post copy and give creative direction for daily videos
  • Assist in community management for Cheddar’s social accounts and engage in the comments section
  • See each video to completion, from pre­-production to editing to distribution
  • Facilitate communications between key team members
  • Monitor news for trending stories and create videos
  • Assist in content ideation such as video pitching, live streaming opportunities

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in social video production
  • Experience working with partners and branded content
  • Extremely organized
  • Have a strong understanding of social media best practices and guidelines for the platforms we live on
  • Keen sense of visuals
  • Professional-level proficiency with Adobe Premiere
  • The ability to communicate with and give and receive meaningful feedback to video editors
