The Charlotte Business Journal is building up its digital team with the addition of a Web producer/reporter to work with our team of experienced reporters and editors covering one of the nation’s most dynamic business communities.
CBJ is seeking an innovative thinker who can produce newsy, engaging daily online content, including the creation of digital packages out of CBJ event, research and print content.
The Digital Producer will craft timely and compelling products that drive engagement and grow readership. The job requires solid news judgment, strong headline-writing and editing skills, and familiarity with SEO and site metrics.
Responsibilities include:
•Conceive of and execute the digital production of special publications and Special Report sections, in collaboration with the Print Editor
•Curate, report and write posts
•Produce interactive features, galleries and video
•General assignment digital reporting/writing
•Leader on event digital strategy
A minimum of two years experience working full time in an online news operation and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required for consideration.
