Business Insider seeks enterprise tech reporter

Business Insider is hiring an enterprise technology reporter to write about enterprise technology.

The reporter on our enterprise tech team will write about the most important companies in the cloud computing industry, including Amazon Web Services, Zoom, and Salesforce — while also writing about the startups, entrepreneurs, trends, and products driving tech forward, all in the unique Business Insider style.

Examples of past enterprise tech articles include:

Microsoft’s annual Build conference just showed how it’s ramping up its appeal to developers — a move that’s key to its cloud battle with Amazon and weathering the pandemic

  • A proven track record in reporting and writing on technology.
  • A passion for digital storytelling and voracious reading habits
  • Familiarity with digital and social media
  • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team
  • Proofreading and copyediting skills

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
