Are you fascinated by the world’s billionaires? Do you want to know how they got started in their careers, take a deep dive into their net worth, and give readers a visual tour of their homes, yachts, cars, and lifestyle? If so, you could be our next billionaires reporter.
A passion for telling stories through a blend of photos and storytelling is a must. Original photography skills are not required, but this person must be familiar with thinking visually and using beautiful images to tell stories.
This reporter will keep an eye on the news — which CEO is everyone talking about? Which billionaire family is in the headlines? Who are the wealthiest heirs? — and to deliver pitches accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- An understanding of how readers consume news digitally
- An ability to identify the heart of a story quickly
- Experience working in a newsroom
- Familiarity with SEO practices
- Flexibility in working on both assignments and pitches, and in adjusting quickly to the pace and direction of the news on any given day
