The Market Structure team needs an experienced reporter to cover the structure of the U.S. equity markets — think “Flash Boys.” This includes exchanges, high-frequency traders and dark pools.
The beat requires a high level of source development skill — interacting with traders, investors, exchange officials and regulators — to generate scoops on the business of trading.
Beat is exchanges, high-frequency trading firms, trading technologies. This position will be based in New York.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Minimum of three years of experience in market-structure news
-Sources in the investment, trading and regulatory communities
-Ability to collaborate with a team of reporters and editors specializing in these stories
-A record of breaking news and independent research and analysis and a willingness to think insightfully about rapidly evolving subject matter are mandatory
