Bloomberg seeks corporate finance editor in London

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced editor to help guide breaking news and feature stories on corporate bonds and loans, distressed debt and derivative markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience writing and editing stories on financial markets to join a team that’s investigating the impact of draining liquidity from Europe’s bond markets, quantitative easing on bond and loan prices, negotiations between distressed companies and their creditors and regulation on debt markets, among other themes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience editing enterprise stories and also be adept at turning around breaking news accurately, quickly and clearly every day. The editor should be comfortable working within a team environment and have the ability to coach reporters to help them explain complex ideas to a broad audience that spans the Bloomberg terminal and the website.

Qualifications:
-Previous financial journalism experience is essential
-Proven track record of writing clearly and well required
-Experience of editing features and breaking news stories is essential
-Experience of working in a real-time news environment is desirable
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel is required
