Barron’s is seeking a senior writer / editor with deep experience covering wealth management to help build out the fast-growing Barron’s Advisor channel.
This highly skilled journalist will have a broad remit, from writing and editing short news items to writing and editing high-impact, enterprise, and multimedia stories covering the issues most important to financial advisors. The advisors who read Barron’s are the most successful in the industry, and they look to Barron’s for top-quality, independent journalism to support their practices.
This includes business imperatives such as building their business, complying with new regulations and legislation, and assessing new technology. Our coverage also includes a wide array of other topics, such as investing and portfolio management, retirement, tax, insurance, and education.
This accomplished journalist would also mine Barron’s proprietary rankings of the top financial advisors for trend stories and other feature ideas. Other responsibilities include fostering engagement with the Barron’s Advisor community by soliciting and editing reader-generated content; and participating in Barron’s virtual and live events, podcasts, and video. Additional duties include working with content management and publishing systems, helping develop graphics, new tools and resources, and analyzing audience data.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience covering financial advisors or related wealth management issues.
- Deep knowledge of the wirehouse firms, RIAs, custodians, asset management firms, and the top executives and players in the industry.
- The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, produce differentiated analysis and content, and work closely with the Barron’s team.
