This is a critical beat at Barron’s. The ideal candidate should be ready to offer insights on day-to-day developments in the tech world, from both a business and investing perspective. Some of those stories will become deeper features, helping to set the agenda on important topics from regulation and privacy to innovation and competition. Analyzing Big Tech platforms, in particular, as well as their impact on society and financial markets will be a key theme underlying the coverage.
The reporter should be well sourced in Silicon Valley and/or Wall Street.
