Susan Li, a general assignment reporter at CNBC, has left the business news network, a spokeswoman confirmed to Talking Biz News on Wednesday.
She had been working at CNBC headquarters. Before that, Li was an anchor for CNBC International in London and earlier in Hong Kong hosting “Asia Squawkbox” and “Worldwide Exchange.” She also served as host of “First Class,” CNBC International’s luxury travel show.
Li joined the network in November 2013 from Bloomberg Television to work in its Asia operations.
Li’s initial assignment was coverage during CNBC’s core business day programming in Asia-Pacific.
Li had been based in Hong Kong with Bloomberg Television, becoming the network’s main anchor in Asia as host of “First Up with Susan Li.”
She had been at the center of its daily business coverage, interviewing world leaders and top business personalities, including Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Robin Li of Baidu, Credit Suisse’s Brady Dougan and Blackrock’s Larry Fink.
