The Wall Street Journal’s Real-Time News Desk seeks a New York-based journalist to edit and publish breaking news and other fast-moving articles on digital platforms.
Responsibilities are wide-ranging, from sending headlines based on corporate filings to editing major news stories sent in from bureaus to publishing slide shows.
The successful candidate must have strong news judgment, top-notch editing skills and the ability to thrive under pressure. Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate in a team environment are also essential.
Much of the editing will focus on markets, finance and business topics, so familiarity with those subjects and experience as an editor in those areas is a plus.
