Brendan Conway, who wrote the “Focus on Funds” column for Barron’s, is leaving the Dow Jones publication.

At the end of his column in the latest issue, Conway writes, “As I’m leaving Barron’s to take a position in asset management, this column is my last. It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve you, the most sophisticated readership in the business.”

Conway has been with Barron’s since 2012. He published a daily, real-time blog on investing in ETFs, mutual funds and hedge funds. He also provided market analysis and commentary for the Wall Street Journal’s daily live “Markets Hub” video show on WSJ.com and the weekly “Focus on Funds” video series on Barrons.com.

Before that, Conway worked as a stock market and options market reporter for Dow Jones Newswires. He also worked for the Christian Science Monitor and the Washington Times.

Conway has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard and a master’s in business and economics reporting from New York University.
