Edwin Finn, the editor of Barron’s, writes about how a book written by Richard Morais, editor of Barron’s quarterly Penta magazine, has been turned into a movie.
Finn writes, “During the next 20 years, while working as a foreign correspondent, he often rose in the early morning to peck away at his fiction writing, including the beginnings of a first novel, which came to be called The Hundred-Foot Journey.
“Well-conceived and beautifully written, the novel was published in 2010 and became an international best seller. This weekend, it debuts as a movie, produced by Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Juliet Blake. The co-stars include Helen Mirren, Manish Dayal, and Om Puri.
