Barron’s is looking for a thoughtful and curious reporter to cover the shifting technology landscape, as well as the company and stocks behind these changes.
This reporter should be:
- Accustomed to and energized by the fast pace of digital markets coverage
- Knowledgeable and passionate about about financial markets and stocks, with an extensive network of relevant sources and a practical understanding of the issues investors consider when making investment decisions
- Able to cover news events through an analytical framework
- Reliable at turning in excellent stories under tight deadline pressure
- Familiar with data analysis and at collaborating with designers on data visualizations
- excited about experimenting with different forms of storytelling, on a variety of digital platforms and in print
- Relentlessly committed to factual accuracy
- Comfortable engaging with audiences on video, podcasts, and at live events
- This reporter should have 4+ years of experience writing both in-depth feature stories and short digital articles
This journalist will contribute to Barron’s reporting across a variety of platforms, including print and digital, with both short analyses and longer-form enterprise work. We’re looking for a journalist with at least 4+ years of experience writing for a major newsroom on business topics. Barron’s strongly values teamwork, so the ability to collaborate with reporters, editors, and our visual journalists is a must.
