Ryan Cross, who covers biotechnology for the Boston Globe, is leaving at the end of the month for a new opportunity covering the same beat.
“It was an incredible privilege to work at the paper, and it’s hard to say goodbye, but I’m excited to move to a rapidly growing publication to cover science and biotech in April,” he wrote on Twitter.
He covers the biotech industry and drug discovery for the Globe. He was previously a biotech reporter for Chemical & Engineering News where led coverage of COVID-19 vaccines. He has also written for MIT Technology Review and Science magazine.
Cross is a graduate of Boston University’s master’s program in science journalism, and he studied genetics and neuroscience at Purdue University.
