The Verge has hired three new reporters as part of an expansion, reports Sara Fischer of Axios.
Fischer writes, “Alex Heath from The Information as a senior reporter for platforms, Axios has learned. His first story for the site will run on Thursday.
“Richard Lawler will also be joining from Engadget as a senior news editor, and Catie Keck from Gizmodo as a reporter for streaming and entertainment. Both start later this month.”

Heath had been with The Information for two years covering Facebook and Alphabet. He previously worked at Cheddar and received the SABEW best young business journalist award under the age of 30.
Keck had been at Gizmodo since October 2018, starting first as a night and weekends editor. She has been a staff writer since March 2019.
Lawler had been at Engadget since 2005.
