WSJ reporter Bischof leaving for Newsweek

Jackie Bischof, a journalist with The Wall Street Journal since 2010, has resigned for a job at Newsweek.

Her last day at the Journal was Thursday. She starts as a digital editor at Newsweek on Sept. 22.

Bischof has degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Columbia University. She also freelanced for The New York Times, Wanted Magazine, Elle SA Magazine, The Committee to Protect Journalists, and The Citizen Newspaper

She first worked for The Journal in Africa. She was most recently a reporter and web producer for the Greater New York section, where she helped manage the section front, created slideshows and interactives, produced stories and wrote and produced a popular real estate feature called House of the Day.
