Longtime senior editors Jack Willoughby and Robin Blumenthal have left Barron’s.
Friday, Nov. 10, was their last day.
Blumenthal had been with Barron’s since 1997, and before that she was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal.
In an email to the staff, Blumenthal wrote, “After 20 years at Barron’s and 13 at The Wall Street Journal, I am leaving Dow Jones. It has been a real privilege and a pleasure to work here, and I have some exciting projects ahead of me. I will miss you, and hope that you will keep in touch.”
Willoughby had been with Barron’s since 1998, writing and editing stories on companies, mutual funds and money mangers. Before Barron’s, he spent six years as an associate editor at Forbes and five years at The Globe and Mail in Toronto as an investigative reporter.
In his farewell email, Willoughby wrote, “I too have enjoyed working here, will miss you all, and hope to stay in touch.”
The departures are the latest to occur under new editor Katherine Bell. Here are some earlier departures.
