Tampa Bay Business Journal publisher Bridgette Bello has resigned from the publication effective Jan. 15, 2018.
Alexis Muellner of the Business Journal writes, “Bello, who has lead the TBBJ for nearly 11 years, has an 18-year history with American City Business Journals, the TBBJ’s parent company.
“She joined the Jacksonville Business Journal as director of advertising in 1999 after starting her career in newspapers. She graduated from the University of Florida with a journalism degree in 1993.
“She was promoted to president and publisher of the TBBJ in 2007.
“‘Under Bridgette’s leadership Tampa Bay frequently performed above its weight class, meaning it delivered stronger performance than many of its peer markets,’ said ACBJ CEO Whitney Shaw. ‘In the near term, Bridgette is going to take some time off, recharge and make sure her hurricane-damaged house gets fixed properly.'”
