Bob Van Enkenvoort, who has covered Campbell Soup in Minnesota, agriculture in Iowa and the diverse manufacturing base in Green Bay, is the new business editor at the Wisconsin State Journal.
Barry Adams of the State Journal writes, “The De Pere native, who spent the last three years as an editor and writer for the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center in Warren, Mich., joined the State Journal on Oct. 30.
“From 2005 to 2009, Van Enkenvoort was the business editor at the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
“‘It’s an opportunity to go back to something I enjoy doing,’ Van Enkenvoort said of working at a daily newspaper.
“‘We’re doing a lot of things well now, but we’re going to take a look and see where we can improve and see in what areas we can sharpen our focus.’
“Van Enkenvoort, 52, is a UW-Whitewater graduate and has a strong newspaper background. He spent five years as managing editor of the Oconomowoc Enterprise in Waukesha County and seven years as editor of the Daily Globe in Worthington, Minn.”
