Morning ConsultMorning Consult editor in chief Meghan McCarthy sent a note to staff Monday announcing some new hires to its editorial staff:

Welcome back, everyone. As you all know, 2015 was a big year for Morning Consult. Our staff grew so much that we ditched our Capitol Hill rowhouse headquarters for this new, beautiful office in downtown D.C. We expanded our coverage areas, bringing on some of the best journalists in the business to strengthen our position as the only outlet giving readers completely open access to daily policy and politics coverage on Capitol Hill and in business.
I am excited to say that 2016 will be no different. Today, we are welcoming three new people to our editorial staff that will help us strengthen that mission even further:
Cameron Easley joins us as a managing editor, a new role that will focus on getting our content in front of as many people as possible, whether through email, social media, or on our site. Cam was the managing editor at Roll Call prior to joining Morning Consult, where he helped move the newsroom to have an online focus, in addition to helping put the paper to bed every night.
Jack Fitzpatrick joins us to cover energy. Jack comes from National Journal’s Hotline, where he covered House races for the past two years (and will probably be able to share random facts about those races for at least the next six months.) He went to Arizona State University, where he was part of the Cronkite News Service.
Ryan Rainey joins us to cover finance. He comes from Inside U.S. Trade, where he covered everything TPA and TPP for the past two years. Before that he was editor-in-chief of the Badger Herald at the University of Wisconsin Madison (…and the Midwest mafia at Morning Consult continues to grow.)
Please welcome Cam, Jack and Ryan!

Morning Consult combines media and data to cover the intersection of policy, politics, Wall Street and business strategy.
