Forbes magazine lost the championship game of the New York Media Softball League by a 5-2 score to High Times magazine on Saturday.
The game was played in New York’s Central Park.
High Times defended its championship. Forbes, after finishing first in the regular season with a 10-2 record, was seeking its first title. The two teams had split their two games during the regular season.
High Times defeated The Wall Street Journal by a score of 4-2 earlier Saturday during the semifinal game.
The Journal had won the league in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and then in 2015 and 2016.
