Dow Jones reaches 3 million subscribers

Dow Jones MediaDow Jones & Co. chief executive officer William Lewis sent out the following announcement to the staff:

Dear Colleague,

We’ve done it!

We have burst through our 3M membership target. This is an incredible achievement and one that we will celebrate, shout about and rightly revel in over the next few weeks – especially when PwC’s official audit stamp of approval comes through in the summer.

But I wanted to let you know today that – for the past two weeks – we have been a 3M+ membership company. To reiterate: we are now a THREE MILLION PLUS MEMBERSHIP COMPANY.

I am delighted and so hugely appreciative of the hard work, collaboration and intense focus that has led to this historic achievement.

I know that everyone across the business has worked tirelessly to reach this goal. It is also a testament to just how valued our news, insight, data and analysis is by our members and will continue to be as we welcome more and more members.
