Javier David, the weekend editor at CNBC.com, is leaving the company for a position at Yahoo Finance.
David joined the site as a writer in 2012, covering energy, markets and general business/financial topics.
He has been the weekend homepage editor since October 2014, In that role, he developed, assigned and edited stories, collaborating with video and social media teams to ensure multi-platform distribution of CNBC content.
David previously spent 18 months as a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal, writing about the foreign exchange markets, including capital/debt markets and the global economy.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Long Island University and a master’s in public policy and administration from Columbia University.
