Fox Business Network managing editor of business news and anchor Neil Cavuto has signed a new multi-year deal with the network and Fox News.
Terms were not disclosed.
“Neil is a world-class financial journalist and a tremendous leader,” said Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News, in a statement. “Serving as both an anchor and executive, he’s played an integral part in the success Fox News and Fox Business. I’m pleased he’s agreed to continue in this pivotal role for both networks.”
Cavuto was instrumental in helping launch Fox News in 1996. His program “Your World with Neil Cavuto” is the highest-rated business program on television, followed closely by his weekend program “Cavuto on Business,” which airs Saturdays. He also oversees Fox News’s weekend business programs, including “Bulls & Bears,” “Forbes on Fox,” and “Cashin’ In,” all of which are the highest rated shows in their time slots.
In 2007, Cavuto was part of the team that helped launched Fox Business Network, taking on a dual role as anchor and managing editor of business news content across both networks. His Fox Business program “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” covers midday market moves and is one of the network’s highest-rated programs.
