CNBC began broadcasting Monday from its new San Francisco bureau, CNBC@1Market, in the heart of the city’s financial district.
Its partners at Re/code are also located in this new bureau.
Mary Catherine Wellons was named San Francisco bureau chief back in February. In this role, she spearheads CNBC’s broadcast and digital coverage in Northern California and works closely with Re/code.
Wellons said, “Today’s broadcast marks the culmination of a project that began more than 5 months ago thanks to the hard work of CNBC’s engineering team and editorial staff. This is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish as we grow our presence in San Francisco.”
