The Wall Street Journal is looking for a social media editor for Asia to leverage social tools and technology to deepen our relationship with readers.

This person should be a self-starter who can identify ways to connect readers with our content and grow the audience by leading the conversation on news events on social networks. This is a strategic role that requires establishing a clear voice and identity on existing digital platforms across Asia, and identifying and taking the Journal onto new, emerging platforms.

The ability to work as a team player with reporters, bloggers, multimedia editors and others in the newsroom is crucial. Experience with analytics is a big plus. The social media editor will participate in a wide range of news projects from the conception stage.

Candidates should have minimum three years of editorial writing and reporting experience, in addition to online experience and familiarity with social media platforms. Someone with an established presence on social media will have an edge. Prior experience with content-management systems and web production are a plus.
