WSJ seeks reporter in Stockholm

The Nordic and Baltic bureau of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones is seeking a reporter to cover intense corporate activity in a vast region boasting global leaders in everything from furniture to trucks, locks, fast fashion, pressure cookers, ball bearings, robots, wind mills, fish food, beer, rennet and toys.

The position requires an all-rounder capable of batting and bowling, a reporter who is able to write under pressure for real time and can deliver in-depth, gripping narratives to front sections. A knack for scoops and a track record of investigative journalism are also necessary to crack open extremely secretive companies such as Ikea, H&M and Lego.

Part of a small team, the reporter will be expected to contribute to general news coverage and take his share of annual events, from Nobel awards to Sweden’s favorite battleground: the Eurovision song contest.

The reporter will work from Stockholm. Skills in Nordic languages is desired but not essential. The position will report to the Nordic and Baltic bureau chief. Please note only candidates requested for interview will be contacted.
