The Wall Street Journal is looking for an experienced editor to help lead the team producing the What’s News mobile app.

Editorial responsibilities will include: choosing which stories the team should cover, writing and editing content, sending breaking news alerts, and managing the app’s social media accounts. This person should be highly organized and will be responsible for managing style guides and schedules.

The ideal candidate will also be able to serve as a liaison between editorial and product, working with developers and designers to monitor each new iteration of the app.

Prior experience with business and financial news is encouraged, but we welcome all candidates with strong news backgrounds who are eager to learn new mobile skills. We’re looking for someone with solid news judgment and writing skills who is collaborative, enterprising, good-humored, well-organized and capable of making smart, quick decisions under pressure.

Please include a resume and cover letter with your online application.
