The Wall Street Journal seeks an accomplished journalist to oversee U.S. stock market coverage.
The stock market’s rise to record levels has become one of the biggest stories of the year, and one of high importance to our readers.
The successful candidate will have experience in reporting or editing financial market stories and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. She or he will be expected to edit breaking news stories under deadline pressure but also have a passion for big ideas.
The deputy should have the ability to inspire, manage and mentor a team of reporters. She or he also should know how to present complex financial stories in a way that appeals to a broad readership.
The successful candidate should also have the temperament to work well with other markets editors in New York and in overseas bureaus.
