Seeking Alpha seeks head of contributors

February 9, 2015

Posted by Chris Roush

The head of contributor success/acquisition works out of our gorgeous mid-Manhattan office, and inherits a talented and growing staff. This is a senior position that reports directly to Eli Hoffmann, VP Content and Editor-in-Chief.

KEY METRIC

Number of new contributors per day. We define an “acquired” contributor as one who successfully published his third article.
Seeking Alphia took this metric from below 2 to over 6 in 2014. In 2015, we’ve set an aggressive stretch goal of 20! Achieving that goal is going to take some major talent, dedication, hard work, and outside-the-box thinking. Your job is to make this happen.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

Learning agility: You’re either young or young-at-heart. Either way, you crave growth, have insatiable curiosity, and love to learn new things.
Attitude: Self-motivated, hard working, etc. It’s cliche, but yes – you need to be very focused and hard working to succeed.
Metrics-driven: In a startup it’s all about growth.
Team leader: You’ll start off with 4 direct reports, and the team will grow. You have most-likely managed teams before, and have a proven track record as a leader.
Natural marketer: You have a deep understanding of the value of SA offers to the potential contributor, and are fearless, enthusiastic and persistent in its communication.
Financial savvy: A deep understanding of stocks, markets, and financial content.

DETAILS

Location/hours: Work out of our Manhattan office. After-hours work and weekend time are frequent. You’ll also enjoy regular travel to our sunny Israel offices.
Salary and benefits: We will pay well for someone with the right skills and attitude. Impress us and we’ll talk.
